Our Story

It all started with a candle-making kit my daughters used for a Mother’s Day gift. They had fun, but I fell in love with the process. One kit turned into a hobby, and before I knew it, I was clearing out our basement storage and building a candle-pouring room.

At first, I made candles for fun — gifting the extras to friends and family. But as the costs added up, I began thinking about ways to turn this passion into something more sustainable. That’s when an old love — woodworking — came back into my life.

Combining candle-making with handcrafted wood pieces felt like the perfect expression of everything I enjoy: working with my hands, solving problems, and creating things that are both beautiful and functional. My wife supported the idea, as long as I kept it fun and didn’t let it take away from our family. That’s a promise I’ve kept close ever since.

By day, I work long hours in the steel manufacturing industry. On my days off, this small business gives me purpose — a chance to create with intention and pride. I pour candles and shape wood in our basement and garage, slowly building something meaningful, one piece at a time.

What began as a hobby has turned into years of testing, refining, and learning. I’ve failed countless times — especially in the early stages, trying to wick non-traditional vessels or find the right wax formula. I even developed my own custom wax blend, using materials sourced right here in Indiana, because nothing else quite met my standards.

I didn’t set out to make luxury products — but the materials I use, the level of testing, and the design choices I’ve made led me there. My candles and wood coasters are meant to elevate your space and perform beautifully while doing it. They’re crafted for people who appreciate quality and the details that make something feel special.

At the end of the day, I’m just a guy trying to make things that feel good to hold, look beautiful in your home, and do what they’re supposed to do — with a level of craftsmanship I can be proud of.

This business is still small. It’s still personal. Every item is handmade, packed with care, and sent from me to you. I dream of one day turning this into a family business, but for now, I’m focused on earning your trust one order at a time.

Thanks for being here. I’m scared, excited, and ready — let’s see where this goes.

Learning as we go!

So this is me (in the early days) learning why I need to give the wax melter time to do it's thing...it apparently doesn't like to be rushed! Nothing like a face full of hot wax to get the day going; it caught me completely off-guard!
